Judy Hutchins joined the company in Vancouver in 1988 and has been promoted steadily over the past two decades. While providing superior leadership skills and an intimate knowledge of the newswire industry, her role expanded across Canada and she assumed the title of Vice President, Sales in 2007. In her current role, Judy is responsible for revenue growth in Canada, overseeing sales in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. She is focused on growing revenues and market share in Canada and works closely with clients, industry partners and groups, advising them with her industry expertise in communications. Judy serves on the company’s strategic leadership team and has been instrumental in the company’s continued growth. Her active involvement and participation with industry associations has helped Marketwire maintain a strong voice and develop key contacts across Canada. Judy served on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators, BC Chapter, from 2003-2005 and various national committees for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute. She continues to be active in these organizations along with the Canadian Public Relations Society and the Neil Squire Society where she holds a volunteer position as Advisor for the Marketing Team. She earned a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria as well as a Strategic Management of Investor Relations certificate from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
